Copy-pasted from official GW site I think. Lack of creativity.

LOL. I am so looking forward to that beautiful bow, and the sword. MMMMM, but the compass is nice also.
I really hope though, that the star (sun) staff from the honorable mentions is included. That would look super sexy on my mesmer. Give me a reason to dye her armor Orange + yellow + yellow. MMMMM.

He took the phrase directly from www.guildwars.com. You shouldn't be too surprised now that you know.
You can be pissed at Anet and their ... whatever, though.

Well, last night gaile seid the weapons will be added in different ways, some involving chests some monster drops etc.
So we will pretty much have to check everywhere. I hope they add more in quiet areas like they did with the totem axe.
New foes in dreadnaughts drift, ice dome, dragons gullet etc

I don't see why they need to be uber rare, I'd rather be able to enjoy them, rather than be able to sell them for a lot if I somehow manage to find one.

Huh?
Pretty sure nobody actually NEEDs to acquire the items to be able to play the game, they're just there if you want um No grind...just personal desire for nice new weapons. You don't want to go look for them and farm 'till they drop, then don't. Do something else
Meh, I don't understand some people.
Anyways, I hope people aren't gonna keep the places to themselves when they find them. That would just be mean I also hope they're not too easily obtainable. They should be hard to get, not soloable.

Some people won't be happy with the level of "grind" till we are staring at a blank screen. Any game content these days seems to be referred to as grind.
I'm looking forward to the weapons because i actually enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it then don't do it. The game has many other things for you to do and caters for a variety of players....or turn off your monitor and enjoy your grind free sitdown.

Meh, I'm sure it'll still look better than the funny shaped sticks with string attached that most bows are at the moment.

and some people wont be happy with level of "grind" till we have to stare at screen for few hours to perform any simple task. Any boring game content these days seem to be loved as game lifespan lenghtener.
Guess some people wont be happy until all content is accessible only to people who play GW as their full time job. Game which caters to variety of people better should support it. Making new skins exclusively for hardcore farmers is not something positive.

And nowhere does it say they are for hardcore farmers alone. Some of the wepaons have already been promotional items.

Good game accommodate casual and hardcore gamers. That's why some items/armor/titles are easy to attain and some are much more difficult.

the pre release pack was available in both the online stores and brick and mortar retailers. If someone can't get to either then they wouldn't even own guild wars.

You know what would be a good idea? Instead of all the weapon drops being green or gold, you could have purple/blue/white as well. Then the people that want the weapon just for the looks can just get a purple/blue/whatever, and the gold ones still be very rare and go for a lot. So you can have your cake and eat it too.
